Consisting of Abel Sloane and Ruby Woodhouse, 1 9 3 4 is a London-based practice that has been dealing in twentieth century design since 2012. Our work also consists of interior and furniture design, sourcing, consultation, and writing, all of which are informed by our passion for research.

Projects completed most recently include two interior renovations of one-bedroom apartments in London. Both projects required a full strip back; re designing of space; decisions on colour and materials; sourcing, designing, and making of furniture – from concept to completion. In 2018 we wrote and published our very first book on the furniture of Gerald Summers.
