2x Sofa Tables, Alvar Aalto, Artek, c. 1940

A pair of matched low tables, by Alvar Aalto, perfect next to the sofa for the lamp, pile of books, vase of flowers. We had the original paint/finish analysed, matched, and reapplied to the table. 

Construction methods for the table tops had to change at the outbreak of WWII and so is our speculation that these tables are from that era. The age of the wood, and the patented leg, however, remain true to Artek.

Condition:

Professionally refinished in gloss paint, screws replaced for structural integrity.
