Birch-series Wardrobe, Cees Braakman, Pastoe, Netherlands, 1952
A stunning wardrobe from Braakman’s Berken-Meubelen range – these are not easy to come across.
There are traces of woodworm in the backboard and was treated about ten years ago. It has not shown its face since, and all the wood present is solid.
The wardrobe is an example of early flatpack furniture and can be dismantled fairly easily for transportation and storage.

A mirror has been fitted inside the door since these photos were taken.
