2x Dining Chair 66, Alvar Aalto, Artek, Finland, 1940-1950s

These are perhaps one of our favourite chairs for their simplicity and lightness.

The legs employ the well-known L-bend (which you can read a little bit about here), a plywood back rest and an upholstered seat.

These chairs are in great condition for their age – manufactured somewhere between 1940 and the 1950s, as far as we can tell, and designed c. 1933.
