Belonging to his Sportstugemöble range, these two chairs by Axel Einar Hjorth (1888 – 1959) combine the traditions of Scandinavian handicraft with an awareness of international Modernism. In standardising the components of the traditional chair, Einar Hjorth has shifted the simple pine wood furniture from folk to Modern.
