Chair 66 , Alvar Aalto, Artek, Finland, 1935
This chair 66 has come directly from Hazelwood House, Devon – from the days when it was an Arts, Health and Spiritual Retreat Centre. The yellow chair, probably painted by a resident in the 50s/60s sat comfortably in the arts studio for many years.
Perfectly worn paint, but still in tact – the chair is sturdy whilst having had some additional screw holes placed on the underside of one of the legs.
Materials:
Birch, birch plywood
